huh, what now?

you have got to be kidding me.

Under the proposed increases, the annual insurance premium for vehicle registration on a motorcycle with an engine displacement of 701 cubic centimetres or more would jump to $430 in 2007 and $527 in 2008 from the current $253. Fee hikes for "sport" motorcycles would be even steeper.

i'm still trying to figure out if this is Canada wide or not...

Gauging from another Canadian in Manitoba, rates are partly regulated by province. He pays $2000 Canadian dollars a year, and it only covers from end of April to the end of Sept. You Canadians are getting ripped off. I pay $179/year for full coverage.

WOW....thats steep. I wouldn't be able to afford to ride in Canada since I'm in school. I pay $124 for full coverage for my VLX600 and about $50 per year for registration!!

yeah, tell me about it. if it wasn't for the fact that i've been driving for so long, i would be paying over 2000 per year for my insurance. as it stands now, i'm paying aroun 800 bucks for the year.

I'm paying $423.00 a year on my ZXR, but the Detroit metro area has some of the highest premiums in the states. I feel your pain.
